Pulav is a staple in every household for a quick fix in terms of the authentic Biryani.
It tastes yumm , and cooks quickly too.
Deliciously tasty flavorful, plus it’s super easy to make. It is nothing but Indian style rice with veggies.

PULAV:-
Ingredients:
- Basmati rice soaked -1 1/2 cups
- Ghee -1 tablespoon
- Cumin seeds -1 tablespoon
- Bay leaves -2
- Carrots peeled and chopped -2 medium
- Green peas -1/4 cup
- Potato -1/4 cup
- Capsicum -1/4 cup
- Green chillies 2 - crushed
- One big onion - roughly chopped
- Ginger garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Biryani masala - 1 tablespoon
- Coriander leaves - garnish
Method:
- Take a pan
- Add oil , and jeera along with bay leaf.
- Now add onions roughly chopped.
- Add garlic ginger and green chilli crushed , let it sauté 2-3 mins.
- Now add veggies of your choice roughly chopped (I added carrot , potato , peas , capsicum)
- Now add salt and a spoonful of biryani masala (Everest brand I used)
- Now add the soaked rice and mix it nicely to coat the spices.
- Once done add water according to rice and cook .
- As you see it is almost done , add lemon juice and sprinkle coriander leaves.
- And it’s ready to serve .
RAITA :-
Ingredients:
- Curd - 1 cup
- Cucumber small chopped - 1/4 cup
- Onion small chopped - 1 tbsp
- Tomato small chopped - 2 tbsp
- Rock salt - 1/2 tsp
- Jeera Powder - 1/2 tsp
- Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
- Coriander leaves - garnish
Method:
- Take a big bowl of curd and blend it .
- Now add cucumber, onion, tomato into the curd .
- Add red chilli powder, black salt and jeera powder .
- Add coriander leaves and it’s ready .
- Serve chilled .
